Hawks Quiz Night a Huge Success

On Saturday night the Hawks held a quiz night fundraiser for the club.

It was a fantastic night with plenty of laughs, prizes, bidding and games played. It was a great bonding night too and so good to see our Board Members,  NBL 1 West players and staff, WABL coaches and parents, friends and referees all in one room and enjoying the social occasion and club atmosphere.

There were some amazing nibble platters and tables that dressed up. Special mention to our NBL1 West players-Our “Lady Hawks” took fancy hats to a new level, the “old boys” wore their Justin Timberlake inspired double denim and our “young Hawkies” had board shorts, suits, socks and slides for a unique look.

Everyone is still wondering how the Young Hawkies (Mad dog and his puppies) came in third ?? hmmm …and there was some very questionable tower building for the game that required tables to build the tallest tower using only objects at their table. Those players on crutches used them to their advantage and there was bit of sabotage going on amongst the players tables.

The night had an unexpected intermission as quizzers left their tables to watch the last 5 minutes of the Boomers game to watch our men take the Bronze medal.

It was a tight finish that ended in a draw and saw the tied teams in a sudden death question to find a winner.
