Hawks Retirements

Over 2022/23 we have had a number of player and volunteer retirements. We thank our SBL/NBL1 West Players and volunteers for the countless hours of service they have given the Hawks.

Our games record holder and player life member Ben Purser hung up the boots after 393 games at the end of 2023 along with fellow player life Member Rob Cassir (218 Games).  Bailey Cole (144 games) also retired in 2023 and along with Ben and Rob was part of the 2018 and 2021 Championship winning teams. Ryan Smith (176 games) who retired in 2022 was also a part of the 2 championship winning teams and is being recognised for his achievements. Jack Isenbarger whilst only playing 35 games for the Hawks, has a long history in the league and his wife Ash is part of our current NBL1 West Women’s team. Danika Pisconeri played 79 games with the Hawks, was a member of the 2017 Championship SBL team and continues to contribute to the club as an NBL1 West Assistant Coach.

Laurie Trengove has been team manager for the men for 18 years and retired after the 2023 season. Laurie received Life Membership in 2015.

Tania Trengove started volunteering as manager for her daughter’s team 22 years ago. Tania went on to become a valuable member of the scorebench from 2000-2008 and from 2011-2023 and was allocated SBL Grand-Finals over this period. Tania has been part of the NBL & WNBL score-table over a number of years. Tania received Hawks Life Membership in 2020-

Thank-you for  being outstanding  role models and ambassadors for the Hawks and  for your service. You will continue to be part of our Hawks history.
