Hawks support BCNA with Fundraising Activities
The Perry Lakes Hawks continue their support of BCNA with fundraising activities culminating in our Pink weekend coinciding with Mother’s Day on May 9 and 10.
Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females. Every year over 3,300 people in Australian (including 33 men) will die from breast cancer. Its incidence is increasing – with 1 in 7 women and about 1 in 550 men expected to be diagnosed in their lifetime. Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) is Australia’s leading breast cancer consumer organisation. BCNA works tirelessly to ensure that all Australians who are affected by breast cancer receive the very best care, treatment and support.
