NBL1 West Head Coaching Appointments 2024

Perry Lakes Hawks announce the appointment of Damian Barr as our NBL1 West Men’s Head Coach for 2024.

Damian has been part of the Hawks family in the past coaching our U18CH Men to 4 WABL Championships as well as being named WABL Coach of the year in 2021.

Damian says:  “I’m looking forward to returning to a club I was able to have a lot of success with at WABL level. After a couple of years working with one of the best in business, and a friend and mentor in Andrew Cooper, I’m cherishing the opportunity to now Head Coach an NBL1 program and the environment, culture, people and success of the Perry Lakes Hawks over their 50 year history is just really exciting to now be a part of again”.

We can also announce that Craig Mansfield has been re-appointed as our NBL1 West Women’s Head Coach for the upcoming 2024 NBL1 season.

This is Craig’s third year leading the Hawks Women’s program and we are looking forward to our program building on the successes of the past two seasons.

Craig has worked hard over the last 2 seasons to implement a style of play that is both fun to watch and fun to play.  We’re excited to see what 2024 brings for the program as we continue to develop the young talent on the Hawks pathway along with some strategic recruitment to help build a very competitive team.

2024 promises to be a very exciting year for both programs.

The NBL1 West 2024 Season tips off on Easter Thursday 28th March 2024.
